Power Cables

Power Cables are used, as the name says, to power your device. You cannot upload or download information with this kind of cable. There are many different types of power cables (Waterproof, Cigarette Lighter Adapters or simply A/C chargers.)
To find the right Power Cable for your GPS unit, you can go to "GPS Cables", on the left side menu, and check on "Power Cables" which one suits your GPS Model, or simply go to the search menu, and type your GPS unit name (e.g Garmin Etrex). Then click the "Related Items", and you can check all the accessories available, including Power Cables.

Data Cables

Data Cables allow you to transfer information between your GPS and another device (for example a computer or PDA,). There are several types of data cables (USB, serial port and bare wire terminated).
To find the right Data Cable for your GPS unit, you can go to "GPS Cables", on the left side menu, and check on "Data Cables" which one suits your GPS Model, or simply go to the search menu, and type your GPS unit name (e.g Garmin Etrex). Then click the "Related Items", and you can check all the accessories available, including Data Cables.

Power & Data Cables

Power and Data Cables allow you to power/charge your GPS unit and to transer information all in one cable. There are several options (USB, Waterproof, Cigarette Lighter, Serial Port, Bare wire terminated), so all you have to do is to choose which is the right option for you.

About BMW Plugs and Connector Sockets

A wide range of units that plug into the BMW motorcycle power socket and provides external power to your GPS receiver. A regulated power supply inside the lighter plug reduces the vehicle voltage to the level specified for the GPS. An electronic fuse is used for protection.
The BMW type plug is bendable, providing the ability to adjust to several positions for ease of use.

Modern technology has brought us many portable gadgets for personal use, from mobile phones to MP3 players or GPS receivers, to mention a few. Most of these devices run on rechargeable batteries. For the home user, recharging the devices is not a problem, as different chargers are usually available.

Electronics are housed in a special waterproof box that fits in the back of RAM-MOUNTS® cradles, sandwiched between the cradle and the ball base. Example below shows a Garmin Nuvi 250W installed and powered by Q~Power Lite:

The right angled mini USB connector for the device to be powered provides a convenient way of cable exit from the device, allowing neat installations.

An in-line waterproof connector allows the user to remove the whole mounting system including the Q~Power Lite keeping the cable permanently wired to the motorcycle or ATV in its place.

A blind cap is supplied to keep the connector sealed from water or dust while the Q~Power Lite is not in place.
