Description:

The MBL-3 beacon loop antenna is an active H-field antenna that is band-pas filtered to receive signals within the 283.5 to 325.0 kHz range.

Magnetic field (or H-field) antennas, including the MBL-3, do not require a ground connection, and are therefore ideal for portable applications. H-field antennas are also less susceptible to electric field noise, including precipitation static. The rugged MBL-3 enclosure provides protection from the elements, ensuring years of trouble-free operation. The antenna is easily mounted using a standard 1-14-UNS threaded mount.

The MBL-3 is designed for use with the ABX-3 and MBX-3 differential beacon receivers. An antenna signal combiner is available to combine the beacon signal from the MBL-3 with a GPS signal from a second antenna for use with differential positioning receivers.
