Description:

The Followit Locator GPS / GSM module v1.12 is the heart of a versatile tracking system with a variety of firmware programs which can be administrated through a mobile phone or PC. The module clips into either a rechargeable battery for personal use / surveillance or a DC to DC power supply for permanent connection to a vehicle, boat or other asset. In operation the Locator can communicate via GSM to another mobile phone or suitably equipped PC with mapping software.

Functions:

* You can call the Locator and it delivers the requested information to the users computer or mobile phone. The information is then displayed on a digital map installed on the user computer or mobile phone. On a mobile phone the information will show co-ordinates and also the speed and direction of the tracking system - you will need a separate map to see its exact location.

* You can time the Locator to call your computer or mobile phone for example every day at a specific or different time to deliver data information. Several users may take data from one system.

* The Locator can be put into sleep mode to use as little power as possible. This is particularly useful when it is in use without external power and the directions of the co-ordinates are only needed occasionally.

* The Locator has a program, which allows GSM positioning. This is extremely useful when the GPS-module, for some reason, can't collect the requested data.

* For personal protection the Locator is equipped with an alarm which is activated manually by the push of a button or automatically e.g. when the airbag in your car is activated.

Additional Information:

* The Locator is very effective for protection against theft. An alarm can be sent when a vehicle with the device is started and then it is possible to follow its route in Real Time. You can even choose to shut down the electric system of the vehicle by remote control.

* The Locator can be user customised, for example, if a car deviates from its planned course. When this happens and the preset co-ordinates of a course (i.e. the buffer zone) is abandoned, an alarm is sent and you can follow the new route of the car.

* Log function - if a car is parked in a garage, the user can still see the last given co-ordinates.

* The Locator is easily connectable to different types of external equipment to broaden the area of application. e.g. a microphone and speakers in all kinds of service jobs or for Real Time navigation on screen in cars or boats.

* Remote control of different technical solutions integrated in the mobile system e.g. time locks and thermostats.

The Followit Locator has passed a Highly Accelerated Life Test and the test results showed a product of high quality and life force. It has a CE standard classification. The communication can travel both ways and it means that you are able to call the Locator up or program it to call you.
