The Mio A701 combines both GPS and GSM phone into a single device along with several other features.

With a 520 MHz processor and 64 MB of RAM there is no shortage of power to run the latest applications and because the telephone and GPS are built in, the SDIO card slot is available for extra file storage.

The built-in camera is capable of taking images up to 1280 x 1024 resolution at up to 8x digital zoom.

GPS is provided by the latest Sirfstar III chipset capable of tracking at a low signal level of –159 dBW.

The A701 runs Microsoft Windows 5.0 “Magneto” which includes Pocket versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint viewer, Windows Media Player, etc. It comes with navigation software.The 2.7 inch touchscreen manages the same resolution as most PDA units with 3.5 – 4 inch screens so is sharp and easy to read.

The rechargeable 1300 mAH lithium ion battery provides standby time of up to 200 hours, and talk time of up to 4 hours.

The A701 built-in mobile phone is tri-band GSM 900/1800/1900 and GRPS, and it has a choice of 128 polyphonic ring tones.

It is supplied with the Miomap V2 UK software.
The new and improved MioMap V2, based on MobileNavigator from Navigon, with UK & Ireland (Street Level) pre-installed on a 512MB Secure Digital card. Simply insert the supplied SD card and perform a quick installation and you're ready to start navigating throughout the UK and Ireland
